Otaki Beach bus change proposal

We’re making public transport more reliable, simpler and better.

By fine tuning bus services in Otaki Beach, we’ll make it easier and more convenient for people to go where they want to go by bus.

To make sure we get things right, we need your input. Check out the changes we’re proposing and get back to us. You can fill out the feedback form below. We need your feedback by 5pm Friday 11 November 2016.

Currently the Otaki bus (route 290) runs along Marine Parade. Feedback received from the recent Kapiti Bus Review has suggested the route would be better if it was adjusted to run along Moana Street between Tasman Road and Koromiko Street.

The change would move the bus route away from the beach which means we could provide bus stops that are more sheltered from the weather. The change would also bring the bus route closer to houses on Moana St, Toi St and Manuka St.

It’s our plan to move even more people onto public transport to become a smarter, cleaner region and make greater Wellington an even greater place to live, work and play. You can help make this happen.
