Consultation has concluded
The consultation on changes to our Resource Management Charging Policy is now closed.
People and organisations around the region undertake activities that impact our environment, and we work hard to regulate that activity on behalf of the community.
Our role includes processing resource consents, compliance monitoring, monitoring the state of our environment and responding to incidents. All of these activities take time and cost money.
Our approach to the Resource Management Charging Policy is that those who benefit from using natural and physical resources are expected to pay in full. The last change to the Policy was in 2015.
